Prof. Dr. Jhunu Shamsun Nahar is a renowned Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist in Bangladesh. She is a fellow of the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons in psychiatry. She is also an International Fellow of American Psychiatric Association. As a professor of psychotherapy she played a key role in organizing hospital-based training in psychotherapy in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. She obtained trainings in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Couple Therapy, Mindfulness, Relaxation Therapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) from home and abroad. Prof. Nahar has excellent contribution in mental health research. She has 67 articles published in national and international journals. Dr. Nahar presented her research papers in many national and international platforms. Her special research interest is women mental health.
