Dr. Leuza Mubassara

Dr. Leuza Mubassara is a committed Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She earned her MBBS from Ibrahim Medical College in 2016 and a Master of Public Health (Epidemiology) from Bangladesh Medical University in 2019. She went on to specialise in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, earning her MD from Bangladesh Medical University in July 2026. She has also passed Papers A and B of the MRCPsych examination of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK.Her clinical work focuses on assessing and managing emotional, behavioural and developmental difficulties in children and adolescents, including suicide risk assessment and crisis care. She is trained in evidence-based therapies appropriate for children and adolescents. Her rotational training in paediatrics, paediatric neurology and neurology helps her work closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to plan care around each childs needs. Dr. Mubassara is an avid researcher, with over fifteen peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Her research covers self-harm, suicide prevention, child protection and adolescent mental health. She has won awards for her presentations at national and international psychiatry conferences. Professional memberships include the Bangladesh Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (BACAMH) and the Bangladesh Association of Psychiatrists (BAP).
