Hazera Khatun is an accomplished Clinical Psychologist and mental health expert with over two decades of experience in the psychological landscape of Bangladesh. She currently pursuing her PhD in the Department of Clinical Psychology at the University of Dhaka. She holds an MPhil and MS in Clinical Psychology Department at the University of Dhaka, reflecting a strong academic foundation. She has experience working with adult, child, and adolescent psychiatric populations, providing comprehensive psychological assessment and intervention.
Her areas of expertise include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Systemic Family Therapy and Psychodrama. She is also skilled in conducting psychometric assessments, including IQ testing and personality evaluation using tools such as the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI).She has built a distinguished clinical career through her roles at prestigious institutions, including Clinical Psychologist at Dhaka Residential Model College, Nasirullah Psychotherapy Unit, and the Student Guidance and Counseling Centre at TSC, University of Dhaka. In addition, she has contributed to academia as a guest lecturer for the Master of Rehabilitation Science (MRS) program at Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP), Savar. Notably, she served as a Team Leader at the Bangladesh Rehabilitation Centre for Trauma Victims (BRCT), where she managed complex trauma cases and supervised multidisciplinary treatment teams.She is actively involved in supervision and training. She serves as a clinical supervisor for MS students in the Department of Clinical Psychology at the University of Dhaka and is also a supervisor in Systemic Family Therapy (informed). She has provided professional training to various organizations, including SOS Shishu Polli and Room to Read etc.Her academic contributions include publications on topics such as marital conflict and the psychological management of essential hypertension.
