Dr. Md. Shamsul Ahsan Maksud

Dr. Mohammad Shamsul Ahsan is a Psychiatrist, Sexual Medicine Specialist and Addiction Psychiatrist. He completed his MBBS from Chittagong Medical College in january 1999. He completed MPhil in Psychiatry in 2006 from Bangladesh Medical University (Bangladesh Medical University), FCPS in Psychiatry in 2010. Then he went to Oxford Summer School in 2011 to learn Sexual Medicine in June 2011. He attended Oxford Winter School in Milan in 2011. He took training from Ptof Kevan Wylie, then President World Association of Psychiatrist (WAS) at Porterbrook Clinic, Sheffield, UK. He took the fellowship exam on sexual Medicine in 2012 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands, December 2012. He obtained FECSM for the first time in Bangladesh. He also obtained a fellowship in sexology in 2014 conducted by European Federation of Sexology. He is currently President Elect, South Asian Society for Sexual Medicine (SASSM) since 2019. He is working as an Associate professor of Psychiatry, and Co-ordinator, Substance De-Addiction Clinic, Bangladesh Medical University. Dr Maksud is a National trainer in Addiction Counselling, Department of Narcotics Control, Bangladesh, he passed ICAP-I in 2016.
